CPO (Catholic Parish Outreach)

Catholic Parish Outreach (CPO), a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, provides food assistance to families in need. St. Joseph Catholic Church partners with this diocesan outreach ministry to support residents of Kingsborough Estates through grocery pack distribution.

When and Where: Volunteers gather on the second Tuesday of each month at noon at the Kingsborough Estates office. Working with the community, they determine the number of grocery packs needed based on the families represented by each vehicle. Through this initiative, approximately 100 families receive groceries at each distribution event.

How to Get Involved: Volunteers help distribute groceries and, on occasion, share information about St. Joseph Parish with community members. Volunteer coordination is facilitated through Ken Sweet, who communicates with volunteers via WhatsApp after receiving confirmation of support needs from CPO.

Through this collaboration, St. Joseph Parish puts its faith into action by serving local families and sharing Christ’s love through practical acts of charity.
